Baptism: Zachary O’Neil
Zachary’s life before Jesus was a rocky road. He was lost and didn’t have purpose. When h was little, he had attended church with his mom and Babba at the Ukranian church. But he didn’t speak the language or understand it. His brother got him going to breakfast and Bible Study in the mornings before school. Then his brother steered away, and Zachary followed. He hung out with the wrong type of friends and started doing drugs, drinking, and smoking. He was in a relationship for four years, and that person left him with no ability to reach out. One night in September, he finally got a text back which said, “The devil will always win for you.” He felt alone and out of control. Zachary realized that the devis WAS winning over him, and he needed to change his life. The only person who could help him was God.
He got on his knees, wept, and prayed for God to save him and redeem him. And God did. Zachary’s life since putting his faith in Jesus, has been nothing short of extraordinary. He sees his own life differently as well as other people’s lives now. He has a purpose. It is to get his family on the right track. Zachary wants to show his faith and trust in God to others in their struggles. He’s started going to church again, and attending the exploring faith class. He’s diving into the Word and enjoying a prayer life with the Lord. In his struggles, he’s leaning on the Lord and knows that is why he is here today.
Zachary is getting baptized today to show obedience. Jesus is His Lord and Savior.
