Baptism: Carah Colburn
For Carah, life before Christ was difficult. She grew up in a toxic household where she not only suffered her own mental health battles, but also suffered because of her mother’s as well. Carah had battled anxiety and depression during that time to the point of a suicide attempt.
Shortly after moving out of her mom’s house, she developed a debilitating neurological condition that destroyed her whole world, having to learn how to walk again. At that time, she had no outlet, no hope, and no one to lean on.
Around that same time, Carah came to faith in Christ. She realized that the Lord had been by her side the whole time, and her struggles were part of His plan to bring her to faith in Him.
Life with faith has brought Carah someone to trust and rely on. She’s a better person because of Christ, who has set an example for how she wants to live and treat people, and he’s transformed her view of the world.
She is being baptised to publicly proclaim that Jesus is her savior and to show everyone what he’s done in her life.
