Beyond Stories: When God calls, He equips.

With a heart burdened for the lost and a deep longing to serve with unwavering faithfulness, Kristen returned from a missions season overseas forever changed. Feeling the burden of the world's unmet needs, Kristen was ignited with an unwavering passion to share the gospel with those who had never experienced its hope. 

Kristen poured out her heart in prayer, asking God to reveal where her gifts could be used for His glory and the good of others. Though uncertain, Kristen offered herself without reservation, trusting that even the smallest act of surrender could be woven into a story far greater than her own.

Before long, she was led to Caring Choices, a local pregnancy help center. God had revealed to her that her experience and skills as a counselor and teacher were not just tools; in His hands, they were instruments of hope for women facing uncertainty and fear.

For Kristen, this opportunity wasn’t about filling a role or simply meeting a need – but was the chance to help women in their most vulnerable moments experience God’s grace and love. She walked through the doors of Caring Choices feeling unqualified but learned through time and patience that when God calls, He equips. Through prayer, training, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Kristen stepped into the unknown with faith, trusting that the Lord was working through each appointment. 

Her prayer for women who walk in afraid or uncertain is that they would leave knowing they are not alone; that they have real choices and have the unrelenting love and grace of God at every step of their journey. She has seen God constantly at work, reminding her that the role of a servant is to be faithful.

Kristen has discovered that service transforms the one who serves just as much as those being served. “You think you’re going to serve, but the Lord ends up changing you,” she shared, “He blesses you through the very people you came to bless.”
