Words that Witness

WARM WELCOME - Open the conversation

Who were some of the people whose words helped point you toward Jesus?

RECAP - Share a message summary

Words can point people toward something worth experiencing—and the most important thing our words can point people toward is Jesus. Romans 10 reminds us that people need to hear the gospel, and God invites us to be the people who speak it. We don’t need perfect words; we simply need to be willing, because the power is in the gospel and the Holy Spirit.

DISCUSS - Enjoy a good conversation using the questions below as a guide - (🔥Deeper Question)

  • Drew said we don’t saturate silently. Can you share a time you were able to tell someone else about Jesus? How or why did you decide to share?

  • The sermon identified fear, awkwardness, rejection, and feeling unqualified as barriers. Which one is most likely to keep you silent?

  • Read Romans 10:8-15. Which of these verses speaks to you the most and why?

  • Read 1 Corinthians 3:6. How does this change the pressure we might feel when sharing our faith?

  • Have you become more comfortable talking about church than talking about Jesus? (especially in your long-term friendships and with your family) 🔥

  • Do you tend to build relationships with people who need Jesus, or mostly with people who already share your faith?🔥

PRACTICE - Ask, “What is one way that you will put scripture into practice this week?”

  • Name one person you are praying for or one person you need to start intentionally investing in.

PRAY - Spend 30 minutes sharing, praying, and holding one another accountable.
