Community Groups

Connecting with others in a smaller setting is Key to growth and spiritual development. Through Community Groups, you will deepen your faith as you learn to apply the Bible, build lasting relationships, and experience genuine care and support.

What are Community Groups?

Community Groups are how we connect with others throughout the week in a smaller setting to know God better and be known by others. There are groups comprised of all different ages and stages of life and usually consist of about 4-15 people who meet to apply the Bible, build relationships, and care for each other.

As you step into a Community Group you can anticipate cultivating genuine relationships through service and humility. As you receive support, you also contribute to the growth of others. Spiritual maturity emerges when you prioritize others over yourself. Engaging in service, pushing beyond comfort zones, practicing intentionality, and embracing a servant leadership mindset are all crucial aspects. This perspective from group members creates a strong foundation for personal and communal transformation, fostering a supportive environment that enriches every member's faith and helps each of us look more like Jesus.

Summer Groups

If you've never attended a Community Group, the three-week Summer Groups are the perfect opportunity to get a taste of what Community Groups are all about. These special sessions run during the summer months and allow you to experience the warmth and community of a group before our regular sessions resume in the fall.

Connect with someone to help you find the right group

  • Groups meet one night each week during the school year. Groups decide which night of the week is best for them.

    They meet for three trimesters, lasting 6-10 weeks. During the summer, groups take a break from regular meetings and often do social gatherings together in backyards or around the city.

    As groups grow, they often multiply to create room for more people, helping keep the group small enough for everyone to engage fully.

  • Where: Typically, groups meet in group members' homes, but you may also find some meeting in backyards, restaurants, parks, online, or a mixture of all of the above. See a map of groups.

    How Long: Each group decides the length of time they will meet. Most groups meet for about 90 minutes. Online groups usually meet for 45-60 minutes.

    What: Though each group differs in how they do things, group meetings include social time, group discussion, and prayer.

    Many groups discuss how to apply Sunday’s sermon to their daily lives. However, some groups may choose to do a topical study, discuss a book of the Bible, read a book, watch a video series, or discuss a podcast.

  • Each group manages childcare. Some groups provide childcare options while others do not.
